Writing software error messages
This course will give you the basic tools to enter error messages into your software that are complete, concise, effective, and in line with industry standards. Error messages formulated according to these criteria will also result in efficient and accurate translations in all the languages in which you market your product.
IMPARARE A SCRIVERE MESSAGGI DI ERRORE SOFTWARE
Too often, the error messages that the software returns to the operator are written by developers who are skilled in programming but untrained in writing rules. As a result, error messages are often written without following a method or standard, resulting in redundant, or hermetic, or otherwise unintelligible messages. In addition to the operator's difficulty when faced with a message they do not understand, there are also spillover effects on the languages of translation, as unclear texts in the source language give rise to equally ambiguous and unhelpful translations.
